Chateau La Bastide
A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Chateau La Bastide, in the northern tip of Corbieres just south of neighbouring Minervois, was built in around 1770 and has been producing wine ever since. This is classic Corbieres, typically rugged but full of deep, brooding fruit with notes of garrigue herbs and some peppery spice. This is aged for 12 months before bottling but with no oak, preserving the ripe, fresh fruit.
