Powers Johns Lane Irish Whiskey – Old label

215.00

Powers John’s Lane was an instant hit when it was first released in 2011, eventually winning ‘Irish Whiskey of the Year’ in the 2012 edition of Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. It is comprised mostly of a robust, heavy pot still spirit and is predominantly aged in ex-bourbon casks with a little sherry cask ageing. The John’s Lane release uses a mix of first- and second-fill ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and even includes a small amount of Iberian oak in that latter category. This mix is supposed to reflect an earlier style of production and maturation at the original Powers distillery.  46%
